Managing Director

Colin formed CG Technical Property Services in 2020 to create an independent consultancy to provide high quality technical and operational advice to Facilities Management, Property Management and Construction organisations. Focused on improving outcomes for end clients and building occupants, using sound technical and management principals utilising a wealth of experience in property operations, building services design, construction and energy management with client, consultant, and contractor businesses.

Colin qualified as a chartered engineer in 1995 and is also a registered European Engineer (EurIng). He is both a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), Member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and Liveryman in the Worshipful Company of Engineers. He has held board and senior manager positions in BSRIA, Facilities Management, Energy Services, and Property & Construction business, both as a service provider and a client.

Until recently Colin served on the board of the Building Services Research and Information Association leading the technical development, delivery and focus of BSRIA, his role also encompassed managing BSRIA technical input to regulatory, legislative and parliamentary activity, including energy policies and building regulations. Prior to joining BSRIA Colin was Technical Director at Mitie Engineering formerly Dalkia, leading several business and technical projects in energy and critical engineering, technical facilities management, and construction services. Colin started his career as an Engineer Officer with P&O and spent 8 years in the Merchant Navy prior to working ashore. He moved into construction in 1987 working initially with AG Manly Ltd in commissioning, project engineering design and maintenance, and later moving to Sainsbury Property Company where he held technical management roles, including design, property, energy, and facilities management.
